Professor Patton
Animal Specimens,
Bones and Furs
Museum of Vertebrate
Zoology
We met Professor Patton at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology.
Professor Patton is a world famous expert on mammals and their
evolution.
Here Professor Patton is showing us all the preserved animals
in cases. Many are in drawers. Many are very rare and were new
species never discovered before. The specimens are used by other
scientists to do research and are not all shown to the public.
Professor Patton has gone all around the world to get animal
specimens. He has worked in the Amazon.

Next, Professor Patton took us to the Bone Room. It
was just filled with skulls of almost every type of animal.

One of them was an elephant skull.
|
Finally, Professor Patton took us to the
Fur Room. There were furs from almost every mammal, even the
biggest ones. Look at how big the polar bear is! It's very soft! |
