Procedure: We learned the responsibilities of the other
teams.
We worked with the Mapping team to determine the scale relationship
of the camera. We created a sample rock-field with the Mapping
team.
We made a video
tape of the site and give it to the Camera Team. We helped with
camera settings--zoom level, focus method (fixed or auto). We
assisted the Mapping team in making a full-scale model of the
"landing site." We worked with the Mapping Team and
the Navigation Team during mission to help guide the rover to
its destination (which rock to visit).
Hints: We kept it simple. We practiced with pan, zoom,
height, and angles so we could advise during mapping and navigation.
We measured accurately and carefully when developing the scale
for the camera-TV/video relationship.
