Professor Dickinson is the world's expert on how flies fly. He measures how their nerves work. He puts them in a flight arena that is like a video game for a fly. He showed us how the hummingbird and fly move their wings by moving his arms up an down. It made it much easier to understand. It also was very funny to watch. |

We got to be the first group of people to watch his new video showing a computer fly flying. We got to see a real discovery right there! |
| Professor Dickinson also showed us his robot fly that he made. It is sitting in a big tank of oil. If you put it in oil a big robo-fly can work like a small real fly. He typed a command number into the computer attached to it and the robot fly moved its wings in a certain way. |  |
