Directions from the Oakland International Airport to the Valley Life Sciences Building at UC Berkeley
Driving Directions
1: Follow the signs to exit the airport on Airport Drive.
2: Turn RIGHT onto HEGENBERGER RD. for about 0.8 miles.
3: Take I-880 NORTH for about 6 miles.
4: I-880 turns into I-980. Take the 24/WALNUT CREEK exit for about 1 mile.
5: Take the 24 exit on the LEFT towards BERKELEY/WALNUT CREEK for about 0.7 miles.
6: Take the MARTIN LUTHER KING JR WAY exit (first exit) and go towards 51ST ST./Telegraph Ave. for about .5 miles.
7: Turn RIGHT at the end of the ramp.
8: Turn LEFT onto SHATTUCK AVE. for about 2.2 miles.
9: Turn RIGHT onto UNIVERSITY AVE. for about 0.1 miles
10: Cross OXFORD ST and enter the campus.
11: Turn LEFT towards the West Gate and stop at the kiosk to get a parking pass.
12: The huge building with many stairs on your right past the West Gate is the Valley Life Sciences Building.
Enter the building and walk 3/4 the way down the hall. On your right will be elevators. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. Get off elevator and turn right 3 times.
We are located in rooms 5128 and 5130.

Bay Area Rapid Transit Train (BART)
1. Puchase an AirBART Van/Shuttle ticket ($2) from the machines near the airport terminal exit.Exit terminal.
2. Cross one street
3. Look for the AirBART sign. AirBART will take you to the BART station in 10-15 min.
3. Purchase a BART ticket to the BERKELEY BART station using the machines ($1.55).
4. Go upstairs to the RICHMOND train (orange) line platform (do not go to FREMONT).
5. Get on a RICHMOND train.
6. Get off in dowtown Berkeley at the DOWNTOWN BERKELEY BART station (not North Berkeley).
7. Go upstairs to street level.
8. You are now near the corner of Center and Shattuck Streets.
9. Follow Center Street 1 block to Oxford Street.
10. Cross Oxford Street and keeping going straight onto campus.
11. You will see a map ahead. Go to the right of the map, cross a small bridge and follow the trail through the woods.
12. At the end of the trail you will see buildings to your left. We are located in the larger building (Valley Life Sciences) connected to the smaller one (Life Sciences Addition).
13. The Valley Life Sciences Building is the huge building with many stairs on your left. Enter the building and walk 1/4 the way down the hall. On your left will be elevators. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. Get off the elevator and turn right 3 times. We are located in rooms 5128 and 5130.
