I am a third year undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying mechanical engineering. My research interests include biomimetic design, conceptual mechanical design, and compliant mechanical systems. Since spring, 2005 I have been working in the PolyPEDAL lab assisting in research on the transient effects of gait perturbation in cockroaches. I am interested in using biologically inspired materials and concepts combined with innovative mechanical design to create novel robots, machines, and consumer products.
