I am a recent graduate of Berkeley, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on controls. I've had a lifelong interest in biology, and biomechanics is the perfect combination of my interests and experience. Projects I have participated in have investigated cockroach locomotion; specifically, compliant substrate running with novel data gathering methods and motor control during running via neural recording and stimulation. The latter project is ongoing, and future research may include hair plate ablation and inter-leg coordination effects. I will be applying to graduate schools for Fall 2008 admission following my time here in the PolyPEDAL lab.
